Weddings

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! It is not necessary to be an official member of our church to be married in it. We welcome anyone who wishes to be married.

From both a spiritual and a romantic perspective, Community United Methodist offers a wonderful place for weddings. The quaint town of Half Moon Bay, nestled against the Pacific, provides a romantic setting for your special day. Community United Methodist accentuates the tranquility and spirituality of this setting with several facilities to meet your needs.
 

Perhaps you would like to start your married life in our historic Chapel. Not only is it the oldest continually used church building in San Mateo County, but its lovely stained glass windows provide the perfect intimate atmosphere. The windows reflect the sunlight into a multicolored array that will make any bride glow. The Chapel can accommodate groups up to 100.

For larger weddings our new sanctuary, which was completed in 2002, provides a light airy and comfortable space, which can accommodate up to 250. Its wonderful organ, grand piano and state of the art audio-visual capabilities provide the means for a truly special experience.

Our Wedding Coordinator can help you with arrangements for the facilities, as well as a minister and music.
